OUR STORY
Inspired by an actual nightmare, The Sequence serves as both the launchpad for RED END Productions and tests the waters for a future feature. Delving into dark themes and confronting intense subject matter, the film is designed to spark uncomfortable yet crucial conversations about pressing social issues through the lens of horror.
Fueled by the relentless dedication of our extraordinary cast and crew, led by director Joe Bandelli, The Sequence offers a glimpse into the chilling and thought-provoking experiences that RED END aims to deliver to audiences.
Director: Joe Bandelli
Joe Bandelli is a writer, director, producer, actor, and CEO & founder of the production company Marylous' Boys. He is most known for producing the low budget found footage franchise Hell House LLC, which has four installments made for under $85K each, generating nearly $2 Million to date. All installments live on Amazon Prime and Shudder, and a fifth installment, Hell House LLC: Lineage, is set to come out in 2025. Joe also plays one of the franchise’s central villains, the terrifying Hell House LLC Clown. Joe’s credits include writing and directing the horror documentary about the making of the Paranormal Activity Franchise, Unknown Dimension: The Story of Paranormal Activity, streaming on Paramount+, writing and directing the horror/science fiction variety show Let's Get Cereal, for NBCUniversal, and writing and directing the zombie apocalypse horror/comedy web series Bumbloods. His recent work includes producing the horror feature 825 Forest Road, and writing and directing the horror/parody feature Another Cabin in the Woods Movie, both set to come out in late 2024/early 2025. He is currently in production on the upcoming horror feature Imposters, also set to come out in 2025.
Director Statement:
Before I read The Sequence, I was working on a horror concept to push boundaries and terrify audiences. But as any writer knows, things rarely go as planned. Everything I wrote turned into a horror/comedy, which, while I love, wasn’t what I wanted at the time. Then I met Brian Laprocino of Red End Productions, who sent me a script I instantly fell in love with. I knew I had to direct The Sequence for two key reasons.
First, the story tackles how we process grief and emotions in today's society, emphasizing the dangers of not communicating with kids, specifically in the role of a parent. In other words, it dealt with very strong subject matter that I felt needed talking about. Second, Brian and Red End Productions are passionate about addressing the uncomfortable topics that others tend to avoid. They aim to make films that evoke pure dread, something I deeply connect with and try to bring to every project I am a part of (with the occasional laugh every now and again too).

Once we landed our immensely talented cast, I knew the project was going to soar. With Katie Parker as our powerhouse lead, her depth and energy elevated the entire production. Her performance, along with the rest of the exceptional cast and our insanely hard working crew, has made The Sequence a truly exciting and wonderful filmmaking experience. If you get the chance to jump on board with a team that is willing to take risks, there are no limits on how creative, fun, and exciting filmmaking and telling stories can get. I hope by making The Sequence our audience gets to see just the tip of the iceberg of what we plan to do in the horror industry.
